We are locally owned and operated and have been providing pest & termite control services to the Sunshine Coast since 2005. We carry out pest control services for all general pests which include but are not limited to common pests such as cockroaches, spiders, ants, silverfish, fleas, rodents, wasps, moths, bedbugs, sandflies, possum removal, brush turkey removal. We offer pest control services for residential and commercial customers Our most common pest management treatment carried out in either your home (residential) or workplace (commercial) is an internal treatment for cockroaches, spiders, ants and silverfish and an external treatment for spiders. This involves a crack and crevice dusting treatment, a liquid skirting treatment plus the use of insect growth regulating gel where appropriate and an external spray carried out to the building perimeter. We offer end of lease flea treatments when exiting your rental property by way of internal and external spray for fleas. We also carry out flea treatments for your home or workplace if you have a flea infestation; we will put together a treatment plan to eradicate the fleas. We are regularly contacted to manage rodent problems; residentially and commercially; we implement programs best suited to resolve the crisis. We are licensed to relocate possums. The brush tail possum is a protected species in Queensland and are commonly seen in the Sunshine Coast. Sometimes they gain access into our roofs and this then becomes their nest. We can capture the possum and remove the possum from your roof and relocate it back to its natural environment. We are termite licensed and offer termite management services include termite inspections, treating active termites, installing chemical treatment zones (chemical barriers), baiting and monitoring systems and physical barriers. We use state of the art technology to complement our termite inspections if needed ~ a Termatrac T3i and a FLR Thermal Imaging / Infrared Camera.

What pests do we treat?
Our general residential pest control service covers your common pests; cockroaches, silverfish, ants and webbing spiders. We recommend this service be carried out annually. Some customers have severe ant problems; for this situation we will carry out a more intense service to focus and resolve the ant problem. This may include a follow up treatment or two. Some customers are faced with cockroach infestations, once again a more intense treatment will be carried out with follow up treatments.

Each service will be specifically tailored to suit the problem at hand to eliminate the unwanted pests. All the products we use have a low toxicity allowing us to offer family safe and pet friendly pest control services. The products use are to Australian Standards & Specifications and have been rigorously tested and approved by the Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicine Authority.
We are often faced with nuisance pests which require a one off visit or multiple visits to eradicate; for example a wasp nest maybe a one off treatment however a bed bug treatment would require multiple visits; each pest control treatment is assessed and managed to best suit the problem at hand.
What do we do during a general pest control service?
During a general pest control service we carry out;
- a crack and crevice dusting treatment to internal areas
- a liquid skirting treatment to internal areas
- an application of insect growth regulating gel where appropriate
- apply dust to the roof void (if accessible)
- a spray to external areas
For residential pest control we recommend annual pest control services to manage the general pests in your home; and we tailor the frequency for commercial pest control services to best manage the pests affecting your industry.
What do you need to do prior to a pest control treatment?
We are often asked by our customers if there is anything they can do prior to a pest control treatment we recommend the following.
- ensure food and dishes are packed away
- move or pick up light objects, personal items, children’s toys and pet’s toys and food
- bird cages and fish tanks must be covered by a towel or sheet, other pets should be fine or if preferred can be placed in a carrier or relocated until the product has dried
- washing should be removed from wash lines
- for best results please do not mop floors for at least 48 hours after the service; the longer the better dirt can be swept or vacuumed

Our pest control is family safe and pet friendly!
The pesticides we use, when carrying out a pest control treatment in your home, are designed to be applied at low concentration however these concentrations are high enough to be effective in exterminating unwanted pests. The products are designed around a weight formula therefore the weight of a cockroach, flea or ant, for example, is negligible to that of your pet. The treated surfaces usually dry quickly and the residue that remains on the surfaces will be toxic to the unwanted pests but do not pose a threat to people or pets. We do recommend, for peace of mind, that you keep your pets away from the treated surfaces until the surfaces are dry. All products used by Top Choice Pest Control are to Australian Standards and Specifications; they have been tested and approved by the Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority in Canberra. The chemicals have a low toxicity making them pet safe allowing us to offer Family Safe and Pet Friendly Pest Control Services.
